"Circle of Seasons" is a new extended work that celebrates the beauty of the Great Lakes region, and the cultural heritage of its native people, the Anishinaabe. The piece, written for SATB choir, piano, and optional string quartet or full string orchestra, weaves a poetic narrative through the lens of nature's cyclical beauty and the interconnectedness of all living things. The lyrics delve into the deep connection between the Anishinaabe tribes and the nature that surrounds us.

"Circle of Seasons" is a work in six movements, including a Prologue and Epilogue, that reflect the beauty of each of the four seasons. Each movement’s character reflects the uniqueness of each of the four seasons: from the relaxed “slow down” of Summer, to the crispness of Autumn, to the starkness of Winter, and finally to the rebirth and joy of Spring.
